:: Back From My Junkie's Diet::
:: Yes, hello again, and I've got loads to tell.
Telemovie filming has finally ended. Farewell to Love Poetry. It's been a hectic 20 days, but it's been good nevertheless. I will miss it. Some things I will keep in my head:
- Mike's birthday. It was next door we rented at the office. Mike's been working too hard, so when they said, "Standby, roll tape.....ACTION!" the rest of us barged into the room with a cake and sang to him, as the camera pans to him. Mike, being Mike, was too shy and embarrassed to say anything.
- Pink Square. I love this place. Cos it's all pink and purple and everything I like. We all had fun here mixing the drinks, sleeping on the glorious sofas, taking a pee at the star printed glittery toilet, and well of cos, bitching about those unpleasant moments. And yeah, smoking. How the two actors dressed up as clowns in the heat, and how almost all of us were extras for the scenes shot there.
- Cosy Bookshop. Ok, guys listen to me. Don't ever step into Blue Ginger. They're a pain, and now the only images I get from them is a purple colored bitch and a psycho friend who chased us out halfway. And the $300 we lost. I still remembered walking up the lane with CK, as we passed the psycho's car he went, "That's her psycho friend isn't it. Let's scratch her car!" But it was all good later. Me and Farah fed the crew with glorious pizza, fruits, and of cos, lots of alcohol to keep them happy and shut them up.
- Christmas Party. Lovely night this was. We were shooting at this really dingy place full of foreign prostitutes and weird men, and for the few nights we were sleeping all over the dirty, itchy flooring. It was Christmas Eve one night, and I was told to get lots of food and drinks. We ended slightly before midnight, and we all went to the pitch black rooftop, and the grips fixed a light up there. There was no tables or chairs, so we ran up and down four flights of stairs, and 'borrowed' some chairs and tables from the closed coffeeshop downstairs. After that, it was all food and drinks and laughter. It was really weird, but was fun. We played with the fire sparklers, and Shiv was a bit high and bossing everyone around. She was standing on a chair and screaming out to everyone to sing and burn the sparklers and all. It was funny.
- Mass sleeping by the roadside. We were too tired in the wee hours at Jalan Tembusu.
- Night at the swings. Me, Rachel, Shiv stayed till late at the office. On the way back from a visit to the ATM, Shiv looked across the street from the office, and went, "Swings, anyone?" So we ran to the lonely looking playground across the road, and swang away for that couple of hours.
-Lots lots more...I'll write if I could remember.
My thanks to . . .
- Mike, for being the greatest boss I've know, for never failing to pat me on the back at the worst points, and letting me know I'm appreciated.
- Shin Shin, for making me feel I give the best welfare ever.
- Senthil, for always saying thanks.
- Irene, for just being really nice.
- Rachel, for the endless bitching sessions and for being so generous with your cigarettes.
- Fiona, for always saying yes to, "Can you help?"
- Ailin, for all her initiative.
- Salwin, for letting us waste her makeup.
- Ebby, for being sweet.
- Bryan, for making everyone laugh, and making me so glad that we broke up.
- Archie, for being such a sweetie, you were the real light of the set.
- Janice, for making us know we don't need food when you have coffee, cigarettes, and chocolates.
- Keagan, for being the most fun actor to have around. Sorry for the hand.
- Christian, for being nice to me. (and for the constant winks)
and of course . . .
- Shiv, for being a really patient AD, and putting up with my crap, and crappy temperaments at time. Sorry buddy, they weren;t meant to be personal.
and yes . . .
- Farah, for sticking to my side throughout the whole production, for being the friend I truly needed on set during my lowest times.
and . . .
- Imran, for painstakingly fetching me home in the wee hours of the production.
- Shaiful, for bringing great food AND entertainment for us on set!
Lovingly, I thank you all.
Will miss you. Very, very much. ::
